For simpler sites: fully static builds – no database, no plugins, nothing to update. They're faster to load, cheaper to host, and there's no admin login or outdated code for an attacker to target. WordPress runs so much of the web that it's a constant target for automated attacks; going static sidesteps that problem entirely rather than just managing it. All the site, none of the WordPress.
